STUDIO POLICIES

GENERAL STUDIO POLICY

  • Dance Cavise Reserves the right to change the schedule and/or teachers without notice.
  • Students may transfer to a different class only with permission of Dance Cavise staff.
  • Students arriving more than 15 minutes late to class or not in proper dress may be asked to observe class only.

ABSENTEEISM/CANCELLATION

There are no refunds, deductions, or credits for student absenteeism. Dance Cavise does not reschedule classes that are cancelled due to inclement weather. Make-up classes may be taken in another class of same level within the current term. Call the studio prior to class to confirm a make-up date.

OBSERVING CLASS

Each studio at Dance Cavise is equipped with observation windows, however, children show better progress with less distraction. Therefore, we encourage parents to separate as soon as possible. Every teacher has a scheduled “Parent’s Day” in January for observing your child in their class environment. You may contact the studio director at any time to discuss your child’s progress. 

DRESS CODE

Ballet

Girls: Solid Camisole Leotard (contact the studio for appropriate color per level). Pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair must in a proper bun. Skirts and tutus are not allowed beyond Creative Movement.

Boys: Black dance tights or dance pants, white fitted T-shirt, black or white ballet slippers. 

Variation

Girls: Leotard of any color, pink tights, and ballet slippers. Hair must be in a proper bun.

Boys: Same as ballet, any solid fitted T-shirt

Jazz/Modern/Tap/Hip Hop

Girls: Dance wear of any design and/or color, (no baggy clothes or jeans) jazz shoes, half soles, tap shoes, or hip hop sneakers appropriate for class genre. Hair must be up and off the face.

Boys: Black dance tights or dance pants, any fitted T-shirt (not below waist), jazz shoes, bare feet, tap shoes or black hip hop sneakers appropriate for class genre.

TUITION/REFUND POLICIES

Register prior to end of the current term, (Current season fees will apply through June 1)

1 payment: Pay in full and receive a discount off tuition
2 payment option: ½ due at registration, balance by Sept 15
4 payment option: 1/4 due at registration, Aug 15, Sept 15, Oct 15 

Register after June 1: (New tuition fees will apply) 

1 payment: Pay in full and receive a discount off tuition
2 payment option: 1/2 due at registration, balance by Nov 1
4 payment option: 1/4 due at registration, Sept 15, Oct 15, Nov 15

Register after October 1: 

1 payment: Pay in full and receive a discount off tuition
2 payment option: 1/2 due at registration, balance due by Nov 15

Register after November 15: (No additional discounts)

All fees are due in full at time of registration.  Any invoice that is more than 2 weeks past due will incur a 5% surcharge.

A non-refundable administrative registration fee of $75.00 is required annually of all students in the children’s program. (Additional performance and costume rental fees will be applied at time of registration) The children’s program is based on the school calendar year. Payments reflect the year’s tuition and are not based on the number of lessons or weeks. 

Refunds are only applicable one week from your start date. After that time, no refunds will be given. Note: $125.00 of your tuition deposit is also non-refundable. No exceptions will be extended to our refund policy.
